Winter in Cache Valley!

It's been such a mild winter, which has been such a blessing in disguise! We've been able to stay busy and out of the house quite a bit, the kids and Warren have done a lot of riding, the kids have played outside after school and everyone is staying sane so far. Luckily, Cache Valley is breaking us in to Northern Winters slowly! If I was cooped up in the house all day with no sun, 6 feet of snow, and roads you couldn't drive on because of 3 inches of ice, plus the kids and Warren cooped up all evening as well, we'd be killing each other by now! So while some are worried about what this mild winter will do to our summer, I'm not going to complain a bit and enjoy every second of it!
These monkeys are two Peas in Pod, they are partners in crime and I'm scared for when they are teens wanting to take the truck and head to town! If they're quiet and you can't see 'em you better be for checking on them because guaranteed they are up to no good!! The only thing that's saving them now is that they are so dang cute! This was a mild play day when I had to go hunt them down and found them in the dog house with the kitty, this was ONE time no damage was done, but I'm sure they caught a case of the FLEAS!! :)

Grandma got an iPad 2 for her Birthday, the kids have had a good time Facetiming with her, and it's going to come in handy when this baby's born and we are far away from everyone!

My Mom came up in January and stayed a while to help out with kids and house work, what a blessing! It was so fun to have her come and visit, the kids loved every minute of it, we went out to eat one night with Cara's family, and on Saturday we went to Hardware Ranch to see if we could see some Elk, it turned out to be a great day to go, they were a ton of elk and they were all close just hanging out. The kids loved it and want to go back, we're going to try and go back if we ever get anymore snow, to see the big bulls, the guide told us you have to go when there is 5 feet of snow on the ground and it's been frigged temps for a week or so. That's the only time the bulls come in, I want Kylan to be able to see a bull somewhat up close, we've seen them in the mountains, but each time Kylan has had such a hard time picking them out because they've been so far away. Kirby definitely won't let us forget about going back either!

The elk were 10 feet away but Kirby still insisted he needed the binocs!

Goal Ball is something Kylan's Mobility Specialist convinced us we needed to try, it's a big sport for the Blind, they even have a Utah team that completes nationally. Carie really wants Kylan to compete in March on the Salt Lake team, this was the first practice we had been to and the first time to even see it played. All the kids have blind folds on, the ball has a bell in it and you try and roll it into the other teams goal. Kylan did so good! He made several goals and blocked several goals, they really want him to compete with them, we'll see how it goes and how interested Kylan is, but as a Mom trying to stay optimistic it was hard to go and be apart of, is that awful of me? But it also made me very grateful for the good vision Kylan does have, the other kids that were there had to walk with a stick for assistance or were completely Blind. I struggled to keep it together to say the least! I'm crying right now just thinking about it again! Oh, Kylan is on the team that's facing me, he has the black shirt on, he's the third player on the right hand side.
My sweet Peepers wrote me this little note after she wouldn't stop hounding me about her Birthday Party in JULY, which is why I told her I'm not worrying about it right now and neither should you! It reads, "Dear Mom, I'm sorry for what I did. We need to get along better!" So cute! We need to work on her spelling a little though!

Baby News

If my Doctor takes her when he said he would I'm at my 5 week count down, Warren keeps telling me to quit planning on it, if I was smart I would. But lets be honest, who wouldn't be excited about the chance to cheat mother nature out of a short 6 weeks?! I really didn't have a lot to report after my last appointment, baby is still growing and staying put which is what we want. The Doctor tested me for Strep B early and sure enough it came back positive, he put me on an antibiotic now instead of waiting in case I do go into labor early, we'll do a dose now and a dose later before my C Section. I want to vent about nerves for a minute... maybe two... The "Butt" nerve as I call it. If anyone comes across a young mother complaining slightly about having Sciatica while Pregnant with her first baby, tell her she needs to run, not walk, to get it fixed! I wish I would've fixed mine as soon as I knew what was going on. 4 pregnancies later I'm so crippled I can hardly move, my Sciatica has gradually gotten worse with each baby. It went from pinching in my final weeks and only on one side and only every once in a while to pinching in the very first few weeks, on both sides ALL the TIME! I've forgotten how it feels to walk without sharp pains shooting from the middle of my back all the way down to my knees! So, like I said, if anyone knows of anyone with Sciatica during Pregnancy to take care of it now so they don't end up like me and thinking, "I'm almost done having babies, I can handle it for one more Pregnancy!" I'm desperate enough right now, if my Doc gives me the go ahead, I'm making a trip to SLC to the Laser guy just to make it through my last few weeks! That's enough whining, Warren paid me a huge compliment the other day to someone he was talking to, they were giving him a hard time about all the cooking and cleaning he was having to do and he laughed and said that really he was very lucky because I wasn't the kind of person to lay around and milk it for all it was worth and that if it was him, he would whine a lot more than I do, what a sweet guy! My next appointment is on the 17th, he said from here on out he would see me every other or every week just depending on how things are going!

Baby Update...

I had a Doctor Appointment today and it went pretty well, I have to say this has been the worst Pregnancy ever! I stress more about this baby than I have all my other babies combined, so it's always a relief to have the Doctor check her over good. She is still growing, which I had convinced myself she wasn't, her heart rate is good and I measure right where I should. So there aren't any concerns with the baby, my Abruption is the same, which is good, at least it's not worse, which I had convinced myself it was...
Anyway he wants to see me in 3 weeks, then another 3 weeks after that, then we'll go to every 2 weeks.
If I make it to 32 - 34 weeks, depending on how things are going and how the baby looks he may take her then, that's only 10 weeks away! Which would make her only 6 weeks early, and that's a lot better than what I've been bracing for so I'd say things are going Great except for the Bed Rest thing... it's getting old... I got caught in Hobby Lobby today... I didn't have Kirby so I thought, I'm running into a craft store BY MYSELF!!! And a Lady from my Ward was in there... she acted like I shouldn't be there... Then Frames were 50% off so I had to call Gaylene and double check a Frame size I needed... She acted like I shouldn't be there either... :) I do so good for the most part... Sometimes I just snap and have a lasp in Judgement!! :)

Happy New Years!

Monday everyone decided they wanted to go and rope the dummy again so that's what we did. I stayed in the Pickup most of the time, got tired of that and decided I needed some pictures, don't ask me where Kylee was because I have no idea, a Friend from school was there so she rode for a minute then took off playing so sadly I have no record of her being there... but she was!

Good Times!

New Years Eve

New Years was Great! Matt and Lena blessed Stockton on January 1st, so a Bunch of the Platt's met up at Lena's house on New Years Eve and we ended up hanging out and visiting... and ... Eating!! the night away! Lots of fun and wild kids everywhere! No Platt Gathering would be complete without a Wrestling Match or two...

Update on what we've REALLY been up to...

So a week or so ago we finally announced we're Expecting our 4th Baby in April, up until then our kids didn't even know! Kylee was thrilled when we told them it was a girl, the rest of us are still getting use to the idea... we were hoping for another boy... they are so much... easier!! There is a reason we waited almost 5 months to announce, this Pregnancy has been anything but routine. It was our first Pregnancy that actually took some "Trying," about a year and a half ago my periods got very irregular, then I just started bleeding all the time. And we just flat out couldn't get Pregnant. I finally went in to talk to my Doctor, she told me my chances of conceiving were slim if I'm bleeding constantly. With all the questions she asked me we finally decided that in order to get pregnant I was going to have to take it easy and lay off any exercise or physical exertion... I doubted her at first but found that it was working! Instead of a way heavy period flow all day everyday I managed to dull it down to a light spotting every now and then and we ended up finally getting Pregnant! In the meantime Warren and I had been stressing about another huge matter. Our move up here, so without even thinking I began packing and lifting and moving everything in our house! So I started bleeding HEAVY again, I thought I had miscarried again... to make a very long story short, by some small miracle I hadn't miscarried, and I took some GREAT Gals up on there offers and asked for Help to finish packing up my house and managed to not over due while trying not to be obvious I wasn't packing a whole lot of boxes! Anyway that was just the start, once I got up here to Cornish I had another gush of Blood. What they found was my Uterus was full of Blood Clots and was told I had to go home and stay down so the clots would absorb back into my body rather than break loose and flush the baby out with them. So my Bed Rest started in August of 2011, despite my attempt to stay down I continued to Bleed, the clots weren't there anymore but my doctor couldn't pin point why I was still Bleeding. The first of this month I found out I have a Placental Abruption, in other words there is a big hole between my Placenta and my Uterus, they are attached enough the baby is growing and getting what she needs, so the Doctor told me I'm to be down until he tells me different, if they separate any more I could be delivering a very Premature Baby...
Enough about all that, I need to brag on my Family for a sec, Kylan and Kylee have had a enormous amount of house work thrown at them and just until recently, they didn't know why. They have stepped up and done whatever I ask them to do with out complaint. Warren, my sweet husband that REALLY likes to be waited on hand and foot has been cooking dinner and doing more dishes than I care to admit, he's been bathing Bossy and even washing my car! He's been AWESOME! Then there's my Mom and Sisters, they got together and made meals, froze them and sent them up with us, I haven't had to worry about dinner for weeks! They knew about my situation when we were down to Baptize Kylan, I barely had to do a thing, they took care of tables, Lunch, Clean up, Everything! When we've stayed at my Mom's she's completely taken care of the kids and just let me sit around and watch her run around like a Mad Woman! I wouldn't have been able to do the South Trips without all her help! And then there's Lena, she's been over several times and stole my dirty clothes and brought them back clean and folded, she feeds my Family at least 3 or 4 times a week, she went and bought huge packs of paper and plastic stuff so we seriously have NO DISHES! She's been amazing! Not to mention she's had Bossy over several times, him and Kayson can destroy a house in a matter of seconds, she has a newborn, she doesn't need to be taking care of my bratty 3 year old! It will take me forever to repay everyone for all the help they've been, I'm so grateful for Family and Friends and can't Thank them Enough!!!

Christmas 2011

So, we get home and re coop from Wedding/Baptism/Thanksgiving Trip and I'm thinking that should do me for like 6 months! Warren had a different idea, we we're heading South for Christmas! I can't cuss him now because we really did have a good time and I'm glad we went, but 2 weeks ago I was ornery at the thought of packing up spending another week South, I could've been perfectly content to stay here and have our own quiet Christmas in our Tiny Rental with our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree...
The kids got out of School on Wednesday the 21st, we packed up and waited for Warren all day on Thursday to leave, ended up pulling out of the Driveway around 5:30 pm, another late start on our 6 hour journey. I ended up reading the "Lost December" by Richard Paul Evans, aloud to Warren to pass the time, the kids had the iPad in the back busy with games. I stopped part way through it and Warren and I were talking about what was going on with the characters in the book and Kylan and Kylee started chiming in with their takes on what was going on! They had been listening and actually keeping up with what was going on! Good thing it was a Richard Paul Book and not a James Patterson! I really thought with the iPad to entertain them there was no way they were listening, just goes to show they ALWAYS have one ear on ya no matter what. We got to my Mom's at about 11:30, Rian and Maci were staying the night while Shad and Jeri were in Vegas and they had waited up, so they had a ball together and stayed up half the night giggling. Friday night we had a Reber Christmas Party with lots of food and a mean game of Christmas Bingo, if Shae had had a visor and smoke in his mouth he could've passed for an old Lady sitting at the Bingo tables in Mesquite, it was hilarious! Christmas Eve Shawn and Stacie, and Shae and Kristin had brought their kids over and everyone went down to the Pool House and swam. The kids had a ball, they have gotten to be pretty awesome little swimmers thanks to Grandma's Pool! So then they were really beat and we still had to shower and get ready for the Christmas Eve Party in NewCastle, they were really fun to get ready... My poor Mom! At this point my kids have already started the Morphing thing and Warren was out to NewCastle for the day checking cows, so this is when my Mom starts wondering when we're leaving!! ;) We spent Christmas Eve in NewCastle at my Papa and Grandma's house it was fun to catch up with Family we rarely see! When we got back to my Mom's I told the kids they were not allowed upstairs until 7:00 am, when I woke up at 6 to shower and get ready I could hear them giggling downstairs, I still can't believe they stayed down there until 7 on the dot without complaint! We had a great Christmas, the kids got more than they needed but not to much, so it was perfect. My Mom gave us a new Camera that I needed really bad, hence my lack of pictures the last 6 months or so, my camera broke a few months ago and my phone hasn't been able to take pictures forever, so I've been using Warren's iPhone to take what pictures I could. Warren hasn't surprised me on Christmas since we were first Married, it's hard to surprise me, I was opening a box that I was sure was just another bottle of perfume or some kind of Jewelry and it was a new iPhone 4S! YAY!! So now between my Camera and my Phone, if I'm somewhere without a way to take a picture, I'm retarded!! We went to Church in Kanarra with my Mom and Brad, had a little lunch then headed out to NewCastle where the kids had one more present, Warren had a friend call him a while back wanting to know if we were interested in a Pony, with Kirby getting bigger and thinking he is big enough to ride by himself all the time Warren caved. So now each kid has their own horse to ride, they spent most of the evening taking turns and riding. Kylan is to big for a Pony but still had a ball riding her around. Gaylene had made a big Christmas Dinner and we sent the evening visiting Grandma G, Papa's house again and spent a few minutes watching the Bears game at Shawn's house. Monday was a kicked back day we spent most of the morning visiting around the table and getting amusement out of Grandpa Platt's ever growing Cat heard! I left around noon and headed to Cedar for a minute to have lunch with a friend and it was just what I needed, and so fun to chat and catch up with her for a while! When I got back, Warren had the Pony out again and the kids were roping the dummy off of her, Kirby really thought he was big stuff then! By the time Tuesday Morning got here I was wore out and so ready to be home, the ride home long, my sore body was not ready for another 6 hour car ride! We got home and Warren and the kids got everything unloaded into the house and it was Christmas all over again! The kids hadn't seen their Presents since Christmas Morning so we were up late playing with Christmas toys again.
