Red Neck Swim Day!

This is how we have a swim day in Cornish...
How cute is Fallon?
We didn't stop at the Slip 'n Slide, Lena had an Idea... Women that can operate a Loader can get CREATIVE!

So we moved the swing set, threw a tarp down and made our own Red Neck Swimming Pool! Just wait, it gets better!
From Back to Front and Left to Right:
Kylan, Hayden, Fallon, Trey, Tadd, Kayson, Kirby, Kylee, Mattie and Kael

Just when we thought we couldn't get any more White Trash
Warren comes Home...
Bahahahaha Is that the funniest thing ever? I can't even tell you all the components it took to get the kids from the top of the slide to the pool, other than the table top that I had to keep my foot on so it wouldn't move! The kids had a Ball, they won't forget the Red Neck Water Slide anytime soon!

Cornish...

My Camera problem is Solved! I hope Papa is high tech enough to find my blog, he has been wanting to see pics, I need to take some of the inside but that will have to wait til another day... This shot is taken from the back of the house, the front of the house faces the Highway and I'm not in the mood to risk my life to cross it just to get a picture, it's cuter from the front!

This is the side of our house, I was standing on our little road that comes off the Highway, you can see the Highway in this picture and the irrigation water that runs in the cement ditch all along the side of our yard.

And while standing on our little road that comes off the Highway is the Canal... My kids have been threatened more in the two weeks we've been here, then they have in their entire lives!! This one scares me the most!

This is our Favorite Death Trap of all!! You can see where our grass ends, then there's a small strip of Hay Field, then a Train Tack, a BUSY Train Track! My kids LOVE it, when they hear the Train Horn they are out the door in seconds! I really want to go and put pennies on the track with them, but I'm afraid if they go to the Tracks once, I won't be able to keep them away!

Trigger!!! This is the day after he got hit, we got home this afternoon and he looked 100% better, his tongue fits in his mouth and it's actually more pink today instead of black and purple, he still isn't eating anything or moving very far but we are just glad he's alive and getting better!

What a Day....

I was going to set the scene with pictures, but in the move I have lost my USB cord to my camera!! How will I upload photos?? CRAP!! In the meantime imagine my yard, my tiny little yellow house sits 20 feet from a screaming highway, speed limit 65, which really means 75, 10 feet from my front door is a cement ditch that has irrigation water running in and out of coverts all along the edge of the lawn, go around back (or not, just wait and listen long enough, you're sure to hear one coming) and you'll see a Train Track that is about a Warren's stone throw away that brings at least 5 Trains a day past our house, and it's gets better, just across the yard is a canal that is who knows how deep and 10 feet wide. Now that you know about all my death traps here's my day...

We started Potty Training this morning and spent a good majority of the day in the Bathroom, the Tiny Bathroom. So needless to say, early afternoon rolled around and I was ready for Kylan and Kylee to take over for a minute so they headed outside to play with Kirby. I opened the window so I could hear them, the last glance I had taken outside, Kylan and Kylee where up in their new favorite tree and was trying to PULL Kirby up the tree with a chain... the last thought I had was we are going to end up in the E.R. with Kirby tonight!
Minutes later I heard my kids come screaming around the corner toward the window yelling hysterically, I looked up, all I could see was Kylan bawling and Kylee bawling, and the only thing I could make out that they were saying was "HE'S DEAD, HE'S DEAD!" My heart sank, I don't remember the 3 seconds it took me to get out the door, down the steps and around the side of the house. I came around the corner to where the kids had been and seen the older two.... and behind them was KIRBY! Whew!! So who's Dead?? I'm still trying to stop the urge to throw up and I'm trying to get my heart to start beating again when I realized what they were saying. "Trigger's Dead, He's DEAD!" Our dog? That we just got a year ago? The one I was just starting to like? I looked in the directions they were pointing, because at this point I couldn't understand a thing they were trying to tell me, I have never seen them so hysterical! So I looked up and there was our Dog Trigger laying flat in the middle of Death Trap number 1, the Highway :( So as I'm walking toward him, I'm trying to get the kids in the house, Kylan goes right in, he takes this kind of thing the hardest, Kylee and Kirby made it as far as the front porch and sat down and continued to bawl. I get up to him and he's bleeding from his mouth, not moving, eyes twitching, and STILL BREATHING!! So at this point I'm thinking how long will he have to suffer til Warren can get here to put him out of his misery and where the Hell is my Cell Phone!! I run back in the house hoping another truck doesn't come over the hill, it takes me a minute to get Warren to answer his phone and I keep wondering where that neighbor of mine that drives by 100 times a day is when I need him! I'm one the phone with Warren telling him I'm scared to pull him off the road afraid of hurting him, I also was afraid of the pops and tares I was going to feel when I started to move him, anyway a car is coming, I want it to slow down so she doesn't run him over, so I stay in the road and just move onto the other side of Trigger... Kylee, from the front porch starts screaming for me to get off the road cuz I'm going to get ran over! She was terrified I was going to get hit also! So then I'm trying not to bawl as Warren's telling me how to move him and he'll hurry. I get him off the Highway just before another Semi screams past, and just as I get him off the road, he LIFTS his Head UP!! At first I was horrified, because I knew he was not going to make it, so I was ready to hear sick sounds come out of his mouth and I was trying to convince myself I could go get Warren's gun and take care of him myself instead of watching him suffer... but nothing, he didn't look ok, but he laid there looking at me with this gross, awful looking bloody tongue hanging out of his mouth. So I waited a minute, just talking to him, I took a few steps toward the house and called to him and he got up and WALKED back to the yard! So I went back into the house to try and calm 3 very emotional kids that just witnessed their dog get run over by a Semi!! After a half hour or so, I'd convinced my kids and myself that he was going to be alright, since it was a Semi that hit him, I think, from what we can tell, he got Knocked out for sure, he bit his tongue pretty bad and has one heck of a Goose Egg!! Kylan gets pretty attached to his animals, as I was reassuring him everything would be ok he tells me between sobs, "As long as Grandpa Reber takes care of Duker, Sandi and Trigger, I guess I'll be okay!" Duke was our Dog we had for years, he died last year of Cancer, and Sandi is his Horse that has gone completely Blind and as soon as her Colt is big enough to wean, we have to put her down. Kylee told me that while I was on the phone with Dad she said a little prayer for Trigger, so I guess we'll see how he's doing in the morning! I think Trigger and my kids will think very differently about the highway from now on!

"I can't want this House"

So we left as a Family Monday night, the 25th of July, we left late of course so we didn't get to Cornish til around 1 am. By the way, THANKS to all my amazing Friends that came Monday and helped me pack, I would still be there trying to gather everything up if it weren't for you!! Anyway, we didn't have beds made up or anything so we crashed at Matt and Lena's that night, got up on Tuesday and headed to our new House. The kids at this point were on Vacation, they explored outside and played around all the new Yard features, I'll talk about them later... Lena came bringing Lunch and helped organize my Chaos for a while and the kids were in heaven to be playing with the Leaks again! Mom, Shawn and Stacie, and Cam and Shari came later with the rest of our stuff, we had all the windows and doors open most of the day due to no A/C and a lot of in and out packing boxes. We worked here most of the day, everyone helped a TON getting the biggest half of the work done, by the time evening came, there was 1,749 Flies in this tiny house, we were all sweating to death and getting more irritated by the minute so we took off for Logan. We went to Dinner, got a room and let the kids swim, the next day, first on our list was Home Depot for an A/C unit, Totes to store stuff and Bug Bombs to kill the massive amount of flies we left in our house. So we were in Logan most of the morning getting stuff I needed for the house. The Plan was to head back to my house, Mom was going to help me get the A/C unit going and help with some other things then she was heading to Cara's and we would all meet back up in Harrisville later on in the Evening. Kirby rode with my Mom back to Cornish, he fell asleep before we got home, Mom goes to get him out of the truck, he looks around then Cries "I can't want this House!" Needless to say I can't want this house either, and if my Mom had it her way she would've packed us all up right then and headed South!!
